ABOUT OUR ANNUAL FUNDRAISING TALENT SHOW

"Jhoom Beats" Talent Show allows us to achieve our goals as a non-profit organization through community fundraising. Alongside, we are able to bring together, promote and showcase our community's diverse Indian musical & dance talent.

Bollywood is an Integral part of Indian culture.

The generation born and raised outside India in different parts of the world get connected to their roots, culture, language, dances, dresses & much more via the Bollywood multi lingual Movies, Music, Songs & Stars.

WHAT MAKES THIS PROGRAM DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS

This event is organized by youth and for the youth. It is a family-oriented program where kids and parents are coming forward to believe in RoshanCare's cause by participating and contributing.

Of a non-competitive nature, the program exclusively focuses on the talents of kids in our community.

Jhoom Beats Talent Show is an expression and exhibition of beautiful heritage of musical culture, folk traditions, performing arts songs, music, dance, and theatre existing in Indian tradition.

SPECIAL PROFESSIONAL EXHIBITION ACTS

1. Musical Avish (a rising college talent gaining popularity with his live vocal performances)

2. Odissi Dance Presentation by Rhythms of Dance and Music (RDM)

(Nilanjana Banerjee is an international Odissi dance performer who has won critical acclaim and captured the hearts of her audience.)

3. INDIAN SAREE FASHION SHOW

Bringing all the Super Moms together to display Indian traditional styles of Sarees in a musical fashion show

4. INDIAN CLASSICAL/ SEMI-CLASSICAL DANCE

Our event rendered performances in various Classical and traditional dance styles from various states of India, including Odissi dance

from Orissa, Bharatnatyam from Tamil Nadu, Kuchipudi from Andhra Pradesh, Kathak from Uttar Pradesh, and Bhangra from Punjab.

5. BOLLYWOOD BASH

The show featured multiple dance performances on song from Bollywood movies!

6. INSTRUMENTAL (GUITAR, TABLA, PIANO PERFORMANCES)

Dance schools and choreographers supporting and performing at "Jhoom Beats" were namely Natraj Dance Studio, Nrutyarpan School of Dance, Takajum Dance School, Aastha Performing Arts, Aditi Khatri Dance and Music School, Kalamandir Dance Company, Just Dance, Rhythms of Dance and Music, Nritya Creations and Center for Kuchipudi Dance.

A lot of excitement prevailed amongst the 150 performers on our first annual show. Every performer had a feeling of giving in their heart and soul. They were at the event for a reason, donating their time and talent for a cause. The endless hard work that was put together resulted in great success making it a mega-hit event and drawing tremendous response from the community.
