This is one of the most important holidays for Cambodians. The festive meal invariably includes meat, either pork or chicken, though in Cambodia men often hunt for game such as rabbit, deer, and snake. Desserts, often based on sticky rice or coconut, and fruit are especially significant at this time of year. Large platters of red and yellow fruits, including mangoes, bananas, papayas, and pineapples, are often a center piece.
